The goal of the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2020 is to establish Delhi as the nation’s electric vehicle (EV) capital by promoting the sale and usage of EVs in the nation’s capital. It was started with the intention of enhancing the city’s air quality and creating an ecosystem for the electric vehicle supply chain. By 2024, 25% of all new vehicles will be battery-operated, according to government plans. In order to do this, consumers must purchase electric cars, which are still not favored by most new car buyers. Therefore, the government is granting electric vehicle subsidies in Delhi to encourage the adoption of the electric vehicle policy.
